Mid Century 1950s Italian Sideboard/ Credenza by Umberto Mascagni SOLD
Classic Italian sideboard designed by Umberto Mascagni in the 1950’s for Harrods, London. Covered in padded cream colour vinyl with faint grey marble veining. Gold coloured aluminium trim.
Black faux “lizard skin” on tapered legs with vertical inlaid aluminium stripe, can be removed for ease of transport. Two mirrored cupboard doors, either side a central bank of 3 central drawers reveal the drawers lined with blue textured skai.
In fantastic vintage condition. Some minor scuffs on the legs through general wear and tear. Cupboard doors close well and drawers run smooth. Adjustable feet. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
Great for living room, bedroom or dining room.
The legs, mirror and glass top can be detached for ease of transport.
Early 1950s sideboard created by Umberto Mascagni of Bologna, Italy, imported to the UK by I. Barget and retailed through Harrod’s, London, 1952-1955. Mascagni was known for his provocative use of new materials in furniture designs such as skai (PVC) and aluminium.
